Nobody sits out over money

Two out of every three families in Lakewood Soccer Club get help with the registration fee, and the club’s own process is a single box on the registration form: no income form, no committee, no explanation required, and no list of who receives help is ever published or shared. The same applies to the kit — tell us before you order rather than after. Beyond the club, this page lists only outside funds verified against each provider’s own website: All Kids Play, which a parent applies to at any time of year, pays registration directly to the club, ships equipment to the family, and covers travel soccer as well as recreational, capped at $350 per sport per session and $3,500 per child per year; the Every Kid Sports Pass, which covers recreational registration only for children with an active Medicaid, SNAP or WIC enrollment, opens for its Winter 2026 window on 27 October 2026 and cannot reimburse a fee already paid out of pocket; and NJ ODP financial assistance, which New Jersey Youth Soccer describes as limited assistance for eligible families reached by writing to odp@njyouthsoccer.com, with no amount, form or deadline published. Two national identification pathways cost a family nothing at all — US Club Soccer id2 and the U.S. Soccer Talent ID Centers — and both are reached through a club coach rather than a family application. The page also names the programs the club checked and ruled out, and why, including the MLS GO Play Fund, the closed New Jersey Youth Soccer college scholarships, and the grants that require federal charitable status the club does not yet hold.
